[ARCHIVED] Update on our Permitting System Upgrade - Fire
The City of Kennewick is currently moving to a new and improved permitting system. This new platform will be a much easier system to navigate, will provide more information on the status of your application and streamlines the permit application process on the customer’s end. This switch requires that the current system be shut down while data is transferred from the old system to the new system. During this transition, we are committed to maintaining our plan review and inspection timelines that you are accustomed to.
- Existing Fire permit application forms will still be available for you to use via our current web portal and our staff will review and approve plans and applications during this time and as quickly as we are able.
- The new platform will require all customers to register for a new profile to apply for permits online and is scheduled to be available for use on or about November 15th.
- During the period of time that we do not have an active permitting system, payment for fire permits will be deferred until the new system is up and running. Once it is ready, payment for permits approved during the transition period will be required prior to the next inspection requested or finaling the permit whichever is first.
- Please continue to use the current fire inspection request portal to schedule fire inspections during this period of transition. Fire inspection requests will be processed from this page in the new system as well.
Thank you for your patience as we make the needed upgrades to our system. The new system will greatly improve your online experience for submitting applications and scheduling inspections.
