Citizens Helping in Police Services (Volunteers)
The program is designed as a partnership among law enforcement, property owners and managers, and residents to help keep drugs and other criminal activity out of residential rental property.
Crime Prevention is defined as the anticipation, recognition and appraisal of a crime risk and the taking of some affirmative action to remove or reduce that risk.

The Youth Services Unit is comprised of four School Resource Officers (SRO's), a Drug Abuse Resistance Education Officer (DARE).
Kennewick Police Department provides liaison Officer to the Benton County Mental Health Court.
The City of Kennewick continues to be a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. In 2021 we saw an overall 4% decrease in crime from the previous year. We will continue to leverage our strong partnerships with other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as our community, to continue to combat crime.
