Boards and Commissions are an established feature of Kennewick's municipal government. They offer citizens an opportunity to participate in the City's governmental process. Their activities help shape and influence public policy in many areas. Their influence and value are significant because they lend a more diverse viewpoint for the City Council to consider.
The City Council relies on these volunteer citizen groups for thoughtful advice to create policies and develop programs.
The City of Kennewick has several boards and commissions that include citizens and residents. These individuals devote their energy, time and expertise to make Kennewick a better place for everyone.
Through February 6, 2020, the City of Kennewick is accepting applications from Kennewick residents and business owners interested in serving on the Arts Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Kennewick Housing Authority, Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning Commission where we presently have openings.
