The Records Unit processes all paperwork generated by the Patrol and Investigations Units, including reports, citations, arrest warrants and court orders. The Information Unit also receives and processes requests for case reports, record checks, Concealed Pistol Licenses, Clearance Letter Applications and speaker/tour requests. This unit is the initial contact for most citizens and other agencies requiring information and/or making requests for such.
Fingerprinting for any reason other than CPL are available at the Kennewick Police Department by appointment only. Cost is $21 for the first two sets and $5 for each additional set.

Our evidence team handles the destruction and / or return of evidence after the case is complete, processing or packaging evidence at crime scenes, and handling all forfeiture procedures on seized evidence. They fingerprint citizens when needed, train personnel on proper evidence procedures, and help out with public speaking at our local schools, colleges, and citizen academies.

To retrieve recovered property or evidence in our possession, you must call 509-582-1357 to schedule an appointment, as this is a restricted area and the personnel assigned to this unit are not always available.
