18th & Kellogg Reservoir Replacement (P1810-19)

Project Description

This Capital Improvement Project involves; a new access road to the site, relocation of two transmission mains across the site, construction of a new 6 million gallon concrete reservoir, installation of a new 30-inch inlet/outlet pipeline, construction of a new pumping station, an onsite overflow detention basin, demolition of both existing reservoirs and finally re-landscaping of areas impacted on the park site.P1810 Site Plan

Major Construction Activities Completed to Date

​​​​​​​​​​New pump station transmission mains have been installed onsite and offsite in Irving St. near the Creekstone roundabout. Onsite excavation and removal of spoils for the reservoir has been completed. New reservoir inlet & outlet pipeline across the Creekstone Park has been installed and connected. The reservoir structure is approximately 95% complete and most of the future pump station piping has been installed.

Major Construction Activities Coming Up

Restoration of the Creekstone Park is underway with an anticipated reopening to residents for use during the first part of September. The contractor is working on completing the remainder of the reservoir structure. Completion of the new reservoir is scheduled for September 2021. Immediately following completion of the reservoir the contractor will begin construction of the pump station. Completion of the new pumping station is scheduled for Spring of 2022. De-construction of the existing concrete reservoir will occur near the end of this project in early 2022.
